The overall objective of this game mode is to gain more team points than the opposing team by collecting and returning cores to your main base. Returning multiple cores at one time scores higher team points than when cores are individually scored. See the Points section for details on points.
Team work is essential in this game mode and with the additional team points awarded for scoring multiple cores, the winning team will be the team that provided the most team work.
Enter the enemies base with the sole purpose of preventing them from scoring cores. You will want to full arsenal of weapons before starting. Begin by strategically placing mines to prevent them from scoring while also taking out anyone spawning in the home base. Replace the mines after they have been detonated. Use stealth tactics as you manuever to keep as many enemy troops as possible occupied trying to find and remove you from their base. More troops looking for you mean there are fewer out trying to capture cores.
After stopping a player that has cores, you can either take them back for the score or throw them into the water so they will respawn.
Stopping an opponent holding many cores attracts lots of other players to that area very quickly making for easy TOW and binocular kills. Give your team mates on the ground a heads up before making the drop so they will still be able to retrieve the cores after the strike.
After retrieving a core furtherest from your base, (closest to the enemy base) it is sometimes more helpful to your team to just hold this core for a short period of time while in friendly areas to prevent the opposing team from having easy access to a core spawn.
Just remember that when it is time to score the core, scoring multiple cores is worth more team points. Pass the core to another team mate as he makes his way to the base.
Tank driver maintains the area around the second closest core spawn point from the main base (outside edge of map between base 2 and base 3) preventing the enemy from taking this core. After grabbing the core, tank driver starts moving back towards the core spawn closest to the main base. Two man jeep team grabs the core closest to the main base and proceeds towards the next spawn point, usually meeting the tank driver before reaching the spawn point. Tank driver passes his core to the jeep team and returns to his core spawn area to keep the enemy out while waiting for the core to respawn. The jeep team runs the cores back for the score. Rinse and Repeat. The base in-between the two spawn points (bases 2) provides a wrench respawn for keeping the tank going, while the jeep team can swap jeeps directly outside the main base, while of course destroying the weakened vehicle so it will respawn. The enemy will typically attempt to invade the tank drivers territory with a jeep for the speedy get away, and will try to chase down the tank driver if he has already gotten the core. As the two man jeep team approaches the tank, provide machine gun fire from your jeep to save your tank driver.
This objective of this tactic is to run the score up by shear volume of core scores and you will get ALOT of 3 point scores working as an efficient team. Eventually the opposing team will get wise and start using warhawks to stop your easy points run, so having air support that you can call on will be a big help during the match.
Keep watch for any of your other team mates that may be bringing back the cores that spawned closest to the enemies main base. Share the good point streak that you have been enjoying by passing your two cores to him in appreciation for all his hard work and provide him the extra fire power he will need to make the score. Since he has removed the cores closest to the enemies base, there will be more troops venturing into your area looking for cores.
30+ team points are easily done once you get the rhythm of this tactic going, while 60+ are very obtainable with a good three man team, air support and extra guys manning the turrets in bases 1 and 2 to keep the enemy warhawks at bay.
